Thicket Excavations Doesnt Seem To Be Draining.
I fixed the pipes and flicked the switch like 2 days ago real time. I've slept and slept, done numerous quests, built up my settlements etc. Why hasnt Thicket Excavations drained yet? Am i doing something wrong?

No idea how long it takes, I tend to do it early and head back when I remember, quite some time later.

Is it gone from your quest log? I think it should be gone.
it definately takes a while. i waited there for like 2 game days too, but then i continued the game and came back later. then the water was gone.

I think it might take about one in-game week, I would recommend doing some other quests or what-not and coming back later.

Ive even slept for a week straight just to see if it would drain and it didn't.

Also when I said I flicked the switch 2 days ago real time I'm talking about Friday morning. So you can probably guess how much ingame time has passed.

I'm not sure if there even is a spot there to sleep, but just for clarification, you weren't -at- the excavation site right?

I thought it worked like the standard area respawn. If that's the case you can't go back or it resets the timer.

Edit:
Also, the standard timer is something like 2 weeks. Can't visit the area for that amount of time IG.

According the the Prima Guide you need to reach level 12 before it will drain. I am not sure how true that is, but I have played a lot after that quest completing and it still has not drained for me and I am only at level 8 so far.

According to the VDSG you have to be level 12 for it to drain. Not sure whether that's the issue for you though.

It takes several game days..... don't know how long, but I wouldn't wait for it. Just make a note to go back bay there. It's a good battle when you go back. Good loots down in there.

Yeah I did it early and went back mid games so not exactly sure how long it takes.

It drained for me, but now the ground is all white and I fall through the map.

Just keep playing the game, later on you get radiant quests to find the spot occupied by a raider gang.
