Holy CRAP clearing that place out once was bad enough but clearing it out again with an escort that RUNS into gunfire with nary on but some overalls is a NIGHTMARE. Not to mention the gazillion mines and tripwires(seriously how do these guys get around without setting their own traps off?), the turrets around every corner, the 3 dozen Gunners which on Survival can chew up a fully upgraded T60 PA TWICE over AND the ***cracker on the roof with the FAT MAN.

SCREW THAT PLACE, NEVER AGAIN.

I came across Quincy Ruins and Quincy Police Station, and killed every last gunner there.

Is that what people are referring to?

Quincy has an added bonus that you're outside => Your Minimen Artillery can help.
Besides I had loads of fun last time, because a group of Paladins spawned close to the warehouse in front of Quincy, and I lured to gunners into attacking the Paladins and just enjoyed the show and collected the Power Armor at the end.
What I find unpleasant is that once you're discovered and your stealth is broken EVERYONE and THEIR DOG charges at you within seconds. That's pretty annoying.
A sniper approach as far away as possible was quite helpful.

I had an absolute blast of a time trying to get Billy to sneak through Quincy back to his house.....I'm all for Beth making kids invincible in the game but please,don't you think giving them the common sense to try and keep their head low while we are doing the same is more important?Damn kid got spotted(he can only run,not sneak) by one gunner and ended up disturbing the whole freaking town nest of gunners including the power armored Clint......seriously,Gunner takes a pot shot at him and he decides that the best course is to run right into the middle of Quincy screaming while triggering the damn traps on the way?

By the time I was done with that quest,I was ready to put him and his parents back into that damn fridge from which I found him in the first place....

Pro tip: as soon as you can, get the Penetrator perk level 2 (Perception 9). Then you can use a .50 cal sniper rifle, a gauss rifle, or the RSH-12 mod if you like gunslinger, to shoot enemies through most walls. It really simplifies clearing large interior and exterior spaces (unless the enemies are scripted to spawn when you approach, like in Greentech Genetics), and is very satisfying.

Once you have the perk, and one of the weapons to use it, Quincy is a good place to express your hatred for Gunners.

I clear that place out and cant wait for it to spawn a bunch of new gunners. Lots of good loot on their dead bodies. I confess I only play on "normal" difficulty tho.
But then I sneak around and snipe them, go for the ones with the rocket launcher and fat man first from a looong ways away. The rest? BWAHAHAHHA! The trick is to take them in small groups where you out gun them. All of them shooting at you at once? Why would you ever let them do that?
I'm more afraid of the mosquitoes in the area than those guys.
