Issue with robots manipulated by robotics-expert

When hacking a robot using the last perk of robotics-expert, the hacked robot starts following you, similiar to a companion. You have no option to make him stop following you. The command to make them stay at a location only works as long as you do not fast travel. when you do, they will be at your target location and follow you again.

One could think that this isn't a big issue: 'just destroy the robot and be done with it.'
well what about immortal robots. It is actually possible to hack 'important' robots such as shopkeepers and quest relevant robots this way.

sure, even after fast travelling, they remain deactivated.
i can say that, because they ACTUALLY travel with you in this deactivated state. this gets annoying really fast.

I read in another thread that they'd stop following you when you close the command mode. well this is not the case for me.

(did not do any excessive testing, so there might be some inconsistent behaviour)

The roboter i hacked was the limonade selling mr. handy from covenant.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Nevermind. It seems like the robot won't follow you further than one fast travel upon deactivating it.

Ok. It just reappeared out of nowhere by my side again. Still looking for a solution...

The same thing happened to me, i managed to fix it by shutting down the robot and then selecting it with the console. I then went to a place where i wanted it to stay and typed into the console "moveto player" without brackets. Hasen't followed me since.

Just shoot them when your done with them. i would recommend avoiding the use of the self destruct perk as it can block access to terminals via a bug i found.

A mi me funciona apagar el robot mientras me esta siguiendo, cuando hago viaje rapido el robot queda donde lo apague. Nunca le digo "espera aqui"

I think hacking another robot switches off the follow mode on the first one. Go to a Metro station, hack a Protectron, send it to fight some mobs or destroy it yourself. I cannot guarantee it, but it could work.
