Pickpocketing

I always use. It is literally the only way to obtain many unique weapons and armors in the game since you can take equipped gear. So.. stealing say, a faction important npcs unique armor without attacking him and having the entire faction hate you. Everybody should have lv5 pick pocket unless you want to miss a lot of stuff.

So can you strip a person?
And could you reverse pickpocket a dress on a character and they'd wear it?

You can strip anybody, but they won't equip gear unless they are actually a companion or settler since u need to press T to equip others.

Darn, there goes my dream of having the BOS wearing sequined dresses

I removed every brother hood soldiers fusion core and when I attacked the pryd thru a quest not a single hostile in power armor :) that's also how you get the best looking under garment in the game. Paliadin brandis black officer uniform. Since if you send him to 're join he will spawn with the standard green uniform. (I have also taken many named and unique weapons/armors from caravaners, shop keepers. Ect.)

Maybe I'll spend the points in it, because I had 50% sneak in my last game and had found 3 covert ops manuals, so I could basically run around anywhere undetected

ickpocketing is good for making enemies resort to melee only. I went behind a supermutant stole all his fusion cells and he tried chasing me as soon as he realized he had no ammo

Faction NPCS like BOS soldiers Synths and Railroad soldiers can be your enemy or your friend. thus there can be situations where there will be friendly legendary NPCs. In these situations pick-pocketing can certainly be handy.

I put points in it just to steal Desdemona's outfit. It's handy when you see a friendly legendary and you can't kill them.
