Drinkin' Buddy worth keeping?

Is it worth keeping Drinkin' Buddy for one of your settlements?

Besides free beers for all of your companions, I also noticed he carries fusion cells and flamerfuel, so he's probably equiped with a laser or flamer. Is he also an asset to base defense?

I've put him in one of my settlements for now, but the quest is still uncompleted.

It stays uncompleted, until you return Drinking Buddy to Goodneighbour.
Either way, he still gives you free drinks.

Already loaded a couple of beer recipes into him. Are there also recipes to be found for Nuka Cola?

I just sent him too Goodneighbour got paid caps had the quest finished in my quest list and felt buddy was safer in an area no enemies really spawn as opposed too behind my 200 turrets.... and when fasttraveling back too Goodneighbour free beer and he's chilled all my nuka, Because all you have too do is give him your nuka and he chills it for you, gota love a walking fridge
