Is the perk "Wasteland whisperer" actually worth it?

I invested into this perk because, I'll admit it, I always feel a bit sorry for the animals I kill in this game. (No, I'm not a militant vegetarian). But now I realized that you don't really have a benefit from it, because you don't earn any EP for calming down a creature, instead of killing it... and of course you won't get any loot, either. So I feel like this perk isn't really worth it. Well, it should theoretically save you ammunition, but I was never running low, so...

It is honestly more for if you want to run a slightly less just kill everything you run across route (the only downside is it doesn't really seem to last that long sometimes). That and I have to say its probably one of the more semi fun ones to using (listening to my character speak when calming them down is sometimes funny).

i assume it works without ammo, i'm only playing normal so i have a thousand of ammo per type so yeah for me its pretty useless but i guess for people who are having ammo problems can benefit more from it

All the robot hacks and whispering the creatures are fun to me. Just do it and wait when your new "companion" kills your emenies. Iv got all the charisma perks, and now looking for a ghoul perk. Idk for a profits, but for a feeling thats a Maxon kills everything on prywden by himself is satisfying for me.

I skipped that perk for intimidation.

Nothing beats looting an entire raider encampment just by going in there and pacify them--anyone else that reacts otherwise gets a blow on the head.
