No special points the first level up

I don't think I made it clear the first time I asked this question. On my first level up I did not get to put any points into my special attributes, All it let me do was pick a perk. What's up with that. Please help!!

Can you post a screenshot of the perk chart at the moment when you are able to put a point into a perk?

At the top picture, that illustrates your Strength, Perception, etc, you will be able to click that and TRAIN up in that SPECIAL. However, you won't get to pick a perk that level. But there's no level cap. So don't sweat it.

It's either a perk OR a special point. If you want to choose a special point, it's the top "perk" in the perk tree.

That's been awhile ago. When I leveled up It went right to Pick a perk. Didn't let me go to the part where you put your points onto your special attributes

You either get to put a point into a special attribute or pick a perk instead. You can't do both for one point/one level up. Both are on the same screen: the "perk" screen.

You don't get specific SPECIAL points. Instead, you spend the perk point to level up the stat instead. To add one to any of your stats instead of selecting a new perk, just click on the very top option shown in the relevant column of the perk chart.

you use perk points to up S.P.E.C.I.A.L points aswell, just asign a perk point to the S.P.E.C.I.A.L stat of your chosing like you would a normal perk on the perk chart

Do you mean the Skills,like Medicine(or Medic in the classics) or Repair? They were removed,and replaced by the new perk system.

IT'S ON THE SAME SCREEN AS THE PERKS
JUST CLICK ON INT, or PER, or STR etc in order to raise the Stat by one

Please just post a screenshot of your level up menu. You're either failing to understand something obvious or your game is bugged and a screenshot would clarify the issue easily.

I think he's waiting for ANOTHER screen with arrows where you specifically raise a SPECIAL point, and THEN a screen where you pick a Perk.

He obviously doesn't understand that it's ONE point to either put in a perk or a SPECIAL point
Either that, or he's scrolled down the perk chart without knowing it, and can't see the SPECIAL section

I thimk I got it. Yes I'm thinking of the screen in Fallout 3. I guess I lost the points for the first level up. Thanks everyone for your help!!!

You level up, you get ONE point.
YOu can either spend it on a PERK, on the Perk Screen, or you can spend it on raising one of your SPECIAL attributes up one point on the Perk screen

Wait I was watching a friend play. He leveled up and got 19 skill Points to put where he wanted?
