Can't put away The Silver Shroud outfit.

So I don't want this in my inventory, and I have tried storing it away, but it just doesn't do anything. I can store away other armor, just not The Silver Shroud outfit + hat. Do I have to complete some questline or something to get rid of it?

Yep, there's a quest.

Search the side rooms of the Memory Den in Goodneighbour.

go to goodneightboor and find kent. He is at the memory den and operates the silvershroud radio station. You can give it to him for some caps, but you can also take on a quest in which you become the silver shroud. This includes corny dialuege options for every encounter that si part of the quest. Do bring a very powerfull firearm with you, as you need to kill a powerfull enemy at the end within a few seconds, or you get the bad ending of the quest.

I never even went near there before (at the very start of the game) it randomly said I am sure that he died :\ maybe a bug, but I was like uhm...ok...is this a bug? Because now those clothes are stuck with me forever. I can't seem to even find where he is supposed to be.

I heard that finding the Silver Shroud outfit before doing the quest causes a bug... :/

Not always, I just found him yesterday and did the quest line having had the suit and hat in my inventory for almost a month.
