First level up just one perk???
When I leveled up the first time I didn't get the option to put points into my characters special traites. it only gave me the option to pick one perk. This isn't right is it? What do I do? I actually restarted from a older save and did it again and it did the same thing. What gives?

:) said point could of been spent on the stats you just need to click them like the perks

Yes, skills have indeed been removed, along with a long list of other things from FO3 and New Vegas.

You can get one perk point to spend on perks, some of which increase SPECIAL attributes. You might want to look up console commands (e.g. "player.modav luck 10") if you don't like this change

You modify your special traits before the war when you are speaking to the Vault-Tec sales associate or before leaving vault 111. After that you get one point each time you level to spend on perks or Special attributes. Only one each level and there is no level cap.

Yea no level cap, first users from previous games complain of a cap limit, and now in fallout 4 people want mods and DLC and stuff to do to have enough in game action to max out all the perks, can't please everyone :/

And levels do go pretty fast; if you want/need to spend a point in SPECIAL training to get a perk next level, it's not that huge a deal.

I like the no cap thing. Caps are for MMOs, SP games should be freer.

There is actually a level limit but its extremely unlikely youll ever reach it, unless you cheat. Players have cheated and found that you can reach up to max 6500 something of levels, after that, think it was 6554, your game will crash. So dont worry about getting every perk, because you will long before that. I doubt anybody will ever get that high without cheating. It's just not possible without having no social life etc. And I mean, nothing else you do in your life.

You get ONE POINT. You may put that point into one of your SPECIAL attributes, OR you may put it into a perk. Not both. This is exactly how it is supposed to work.

You've not read anything, have you? It's not like old f3 or fnv games, each level up, you get 1 point, and only 1 point. You must choose to put it in a skill/perk or an attribute which is at the top, the VERY top, there's a few.

YOU HAVE TO CLICK ON ONE OF THE SPECIAL points in order to raise your Special on the PERK Screen.

If you want to raise INT, when you level up and get a perk point, you go to the perk screen and click on INT instead of a Perk in order to raise INT a point higher

What this poster means to actually say is:

YOU HAVE NOT BEEN READING THE FORUMS???!1!!!111!!!!one!!!!

Congratulations! You are the proud owner of Skyrim with Guns, except it's not Skyrim, it looks someone threw up in the texture files. You're the great white hope to everyone the moment you meet them, and for the most part you just want to stab them all in the face.
