Atom Cats bug involving game considering bought power armor stolen.

So I stumbled upon the Atom Cats. Pretty cool. I bought a set of atom cats power armor and assembled it at the power armor station at their base, only when I select it it says "steal".. so the game thinks you're stealing something you just bought? Thought it was a bug so I climbed in anyways.. sure enough every atom cat turned hostile and shot at me. I reloaded a previous save and thought "well maybe I have to complete the easy quest to join" and became a atom cat, again trying to assemble it, and again it considers the power armor stolen.. but I can go to my sanctuary hills power armor station and assemble it there and be fine.

if your tring to take the armor in the garage then yeah its not yours, if you bought a power armor frame from her it will be sitting just outside the main garage door, and should be owned by you.

I did that the first time I bought a frame, lol.

I bought the pieces from the atom cats vendor and walked to the station and assembled the pieces in the power armor station. I didn't touch the prebuilt armor.

buying the armor peices is one thing but the frame your putting them onto is not owned by you, to use the armor peices you need to put them on a frame that you own.

There was no frame purchase option when I went to the vendor, Do they give you a frame when you officially join them or something?

not that i know of all the suits in and around the garage are owned by them, when speaking to rowdy she should have an option in her inventory to purchase a "power armor frame" for about 3500 caps.

I didn't see that at all then. and the power armor station I used at the atom cats garage was totally empty.
I assume the one in sanctuary hills worked then because I still had my trashed power armor from a early quest parked there.
