unable to build food and drink store
is there a limit on how many of these you can have? i love building a "bar" in my large settlements with food and drink stall couches etc.

i am currently trying to do this in taffington boathouse but the food and drink store is not in my list of stores to build.

I have several in other settlements already, is there a limit or something? I did go back to sancutuary hill (where i already have one) and the option to build the stall appears there!

Not every place has the same build options.

You need an excess of food and water production in the settlement to build a food and drink store. This means more than one settler assigned to food production. Most of mine have three settlers.

This is false!

You can build anything on any settlement! It is a bug in the game causing this. The only solution is to fast travel to a different settlement, Then open workshop and select food and drink, Then fast travel back to the settlement you are working on, Then you can select food and drink. This happens to me constantly at Taffington and Oberland Station. It's annoying! This never happened until after the second beta patch.

Actually the workshop at the Airport has limited options but thats only because it's for a BOS quest.

Yes this....travelling somewhere and back or just quitting and restarting seems to fix a lot of the stuck scripting or whatever the 7uck the game is doing in a stupid linear broken fashion sometimes.......

The funny thing was, this bug literally "appeared" (or disappeared) while I was choosing Food and Drink to build. I was moving right to select it and the option just completely disappeared. Those settlers really didn't want a bar there I guess!

This is happening to me at Taffington
I had a similar bug at Taffington, I could see the long bar in the build menu but it was grayed out. I was able to place the first junky bar down then i was able to place the long bar and scrap the junky looking bar.

Whether you are doing a raider or normal settlement seems to also change what is available. If I have a Raider Flag placed, I get more raider options.

This actually has NOTHING to do with the subject. This topic was created BEFORE Nukaworld even existed.

The only times I was not able to build whatever is when I did not link the settlements together and did not have the necessary resources in my current settlement.

EDIT: And about the stores you need cap collectors perks for some of them. and leader perks too.

These people knew how to build the stores. The problem was it was a bug that caused it to disappear form the workshop menu. A bug that was resolved almost a year ago. HUGE difference between needing instructiosn on how to build and the item not appearing in the workshop menu to build.

Here is a fix for me. This is ridiculous but it worked. You need to have the place anywhere mod and push f5 (to disable auto time out) and select the food and drink tab and select but don't build a bar or one of the food and drinks, take that image with you to the settlement that is having problems by walking it over there. Worked for me. Kind of a hassle if the nearest settlement is a trek though. Cheers!
