Red Rocket. If you use Red Rocket as your home base for everything, all you need to do is network your other settlements to it and you will have all the items you need to build them up.

Also, if you never put up a beacon and you put up a few turrets to protect you (occasionally you do get attacked there) then no one is around to steal your stuff either.

Oberland station is handy and next to diamond city , vault 81 and another trader who has quite a bit of ammo. Graygarden is close also and it's a short walk along the waterway to goodneighbor and bunker hill.

Ooh excellent, good strategy, I never knew the settlers could take your stuff, I've been leaving it all in footlockers in Sanctuary

you can buy the house in diamond city for 2000 caps. You can store the stuff you want nobody to take there.

This is completely subjective. I'm not sure which facts you expect to base this on. It all depends on where you want to be on the map, how you want to build your base.

This is true for every settlement.

I like red rocket, simply, that i don't even have to network it other settlements, because it is so close to sanc, if i need to, i can just over burden by however much i need to and waddle over to sanc, or, vice versa.

Oh, also, on several occasions, on the rarer ones, when attackers actually spawn a ways off from sanc and walk there by the road, to the bridge, they tend to cross right in front of red rocket, at which point, a line of heavy lazers and missile turrets looks pretty.

Red Rocket is my spare power armor frame and companions clubhouse, yeah (Red rocket is a small location so it's always easy to find where they went, unlike sending them to a larger place). It's also very close to Sanctuary so conveniently close to a good Main Settlement location if you are one of those nuts who refuse to use fast travel.

I only put enough food and beds to keep the companions that **** without them happy. Dogmeat, Codsworth, and Strong are happy with nothing but once I sent Cait there? "Happiness tanking, you now have 1 settler, aka cait"

Ugh, hey Strong, start farming these mutafruits okay? thanks.

EDIT: On that note, you are not allowed to send companions who don't count as settlers, to places with your max settler count. I'm not allowe to Send Codsworth to sanctuary anymore, for example.

I actually plan to turn the long shed on the side of the settlement at sunshine tidings into a PA storage, it's quite large and the best use for it I can come up with, is filling it with armor stands.
