No it hasn't. There's been Ladykiller/Confirmed Bachelor and Black Widow/Cherchez La'Femme as the hetero/♥♥♥♥ conversation options for men and women respectively. YOu could even take both and be bi.

But this time around you can't even pretend that the start was you in the closet and the spouse a beard.

While I never took either of those options it was neat that they were there. Thank your voiced protagonist for this bit of dialogue simplification.

I was so naive that it was only a few years ago that I realized that confirmed bachelor was code.

I had thought for a *very* long time it was what guys who did not want to put up with woman related crap on 24x7 basis (or simply, to a woman's credit, did not realize the value of having one around 24x7). Thus confirmed as a bachleor because he couldn't attract, keep, or remain interestng to a member of the opposite sex.

But i was so wrong, because with gay marriage and stuff, a confirmed bachleor really is just a loser in general, or someone like me, the "strange man in the haunted house at the top of the hill with flashing lights and cackling laughter at odd hours of the day". Or is that "reclusive eccentric". I get confused sometimes when I think.
