how does clinic store work?

Seriously, this game....nothing ever gets explained anywhere.

Anyway, my question his, how does the clinic store work? Why was I able to get myself cured the whole time, but now, all of a sudden, I can only buy chems there?

I mean it's bad enough that the settler assignment just broke at some point and I needed to rebuild and reassign around 100 times until somebody would even show up behind the counter again, but now it turned from a clinic into a pharmacy?

What the hell is this Bethesda?

I really love this game for many things, but in terms of usability and AI ( dogmeat should be called doormeat ) this is one of the worst major titles I have ever played. It really makes you wonder what type of testers they hire...

The clinic store (I assume the medical store for settlements) will provide chems and also provide healing services. It has always done both.

Well, it doesn't anymore for me. As soon as I talk to the assigned settler my character immediately says "I wanna buy some chems" and the trade window opens.

So I guess it's just another bug then..

Hmmm, you are supposed to get the normal 4 choices and one includes asking for medical services.

That's how I remember it, but it doesn't work anymore. Guess I take radaways then, can't be bothered to rebuild this countless times until it works again...

Have you tried reloading the game (exit game , start game)?

a few times, yes.

It is only one store affected, the one in sanctuary. I can still use the doc in other places, like the Prydwen for example.

Maybe waiting 48hr in game will reset it? Dont stores and cells reset at 48hr game time?

My original problem ( bug ) was actually, that the settler assigned to the clinic would never show up there.

I reassigned 4 different settlers countless times to the clinic, to smth else again, moved the clinic, stored it, rebuild it, assigned settlers again, and so on.

I took almost an hour until one of my settlers actually felt like doing what I told her, but now she seems to pay it back at me by just selling stuff and refusing to cure me....

@ valagar, what do you mean with resetting? you mean the items they sell reset?

shops refresh within 48hrs yes, and I'm not sure what else gets reset but yea I think some item containers/areas do too. Id try it just sit in a chair and wait 48hrs

I've had stores go bugged before too. I always got them to work by removing (storing) and then putting them in a different spot. I don't know why but it works for me.
