(SPOILER) - Confused about the ending and Shaun

THIS POST CONTAINS MAJOR SPOILERS TO THE MAIN STORY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

So after 100 hours, I managed to beat the main story ( I know it took me a while ) And I must say that Im really confused about Shaun, or Father

After infiltrating the Institute, I met a person named Father, who claimed to be my son Shaun, around 60 years old. I was 100% sure that he was just tricking me, so I went with his little story just to find out where he is hiding my real son Shaun.

After siding with the Minutement and infiltrating the Institute to destroy it, I saw Father on a bed, near death. I was still sure that he is still tricking me, and that he will tell me where he is holding my real son Shaun, but he did not. When escaping the Institute to blow it up, Father has sent me a copy of him when he was 10 year old, to take care of him, and then Father died inside the blown up Institute.

I still cant believe that the Father was actually my son. Here is why

At the beggining of the game, Kellogg with Institute scientists took my son Shaun from the cryo chamber. At that time, it is probably safe for me to guess that Kellogg was around 30 years old, according to his face, bald head and a bit of a unshaved face.

After I woke up, entered the Diamond City and found Valentine, we started the search for clues that leaded to finding my son. Now at this time, I believe that someone mentioned that they saw Kellogg with a 10 year old boy in the Diamond City a week ago or so.

When I killed Kellogg and took his memory chip or whatever its called, It showed the memory of him taking care of Shaun.

It has been said in the memory that Father wants the little Shaun back, which after the end of the game, I figured that the 10 year old Shaun he was taking care of was the Synth copy.

And now to the point. Lets say that Kellogg was around 30 year old when he took Shaun from the cryo chamber. So that means that when I fought and killed Kellogg, it was 60 years later, which makes Kellogg 90 years old when I killed him?

Its hard for me to believe that a 90 year old human could look like that and still being active in killing and hiding, after all, 90 years are alot for a body to take

Im probably overthinking stuff, but I was certain when speaking with Father that he is just tricking me and hiding the real Shaun somewhere, because It just did not make sense for me.

If anyone can please shine some light to this and explain, tell me if I missed something, or if its just bad written story.

Kellog is a cyborg as stated in the game he has been physicall enchanced and has reduced aging. and yes the shaun he was taking care of was the synth shaun.

Ah now that makes sense. that was the thing that I missed, that he was enhanced.
