Worth it to side with The Minutemen? (Spoilers)
Really against the whole "Go kill the other factions because they have slight differences in ideology" deal that the 3 main factions have, but I've heard that with the Minutemen you can more or less create peace between BOS and The Railroad After you destroy the Institute

But is the ending actually good? I want to have a really profound experience with the ending

Chuckle. I have sided with the Minutemen but it's going to be 6 months or so before I can answer your question directly.

Perhaps more usefully I CAN say that going Minutemen works well with a slow playthrough but will drive you crazy if you want to push on through the main story.

Remember, you are the leader of the Minutemen, whatever faction u side with, the Minutemen are allied with it too. There is a quest to destory the BOS after destorying the institute. U could just not do that quest.

Create a save before you make enemies, then do all 4 faction endings. Stick with whichever one you like the best.

My main reasoning is to just have more post ending gameplay (sidequests with each faction etc.) But also to avoid all of the unessecary deaths for roleplaying purposes

And the minutemen ask you to destroy BOS?

Which quest exactly is that? I got the minutemen ending, they said they wanna destroy the BoS but there isnt a single quest for it...

I had to relaod an early save becuase I didn't talk to Preston about building the relay, if you don't let the minutmen build it then it locks you out of their quest line.

Well it did for me at least :/

I didn't have the option to leave the institute as such and ended up having to do either BoS or Railroad.

I googled the minutemen quest line to be sure and that's how I was able to go back and do their ending, if you talk to either Railroad or BoS about the relay you will not get a key quest that continues the minutemen path.

Also if like me you build your relay anywhere you like it will be Railroad by default - I even built my relay at the castle thinking it would choose minutemn but nooop :(

I found a walkthrough that said something about that quest being active if you had worked with BoS then changed you mind to help minutemen, something about a BoS NPC not being happy and then it triggers the quest.

Anyone know how to get the "peaceful" ending?
Would I have more things to do post game If I was able to side with the minutemen and keep peace between BOS and Railroad? Or are there specific post game quests I'd be locked out of (e.g. the BOS post game quests)

If you decide to keep the peace you will have more quests to do post game. But if you do decide to fight the BoS post game there will be more random battles in the wasteland with the minutemen also you get a minutemen quest.
