How to set your fps cap?
Over the recent patch, I game started giving my over 1000+ fps indoors. This led to certain animations and actions(such as lockpicking) to appear sped up. Is there any command in fallout4.ini I can change to cap my fps?

Vsync is normally ON in Fo4 and not changeable unless you turned it off in various INI files or used a config tool to do so. Your GPU control panel should have a frame rate limiter option available to you or driver-side Vsync options. Otherwise, I'd suggest grabbing Bilago's Config tool from Nexus Mods to tinker with your ini files safely - http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/102/?

I use the basic ENB package to cap my fps. Settings are in enblocal.ini

Hmm, enabling Vsnyc gives me 30 fps, which is far too low. I tried using my GPU control panel, and even though it says fallout is capped at 70, when I enter in game it goes over that.

most I really see when indoors is 200, I'm on a Core i7 2600K, 16GB ram, 4GB GTX 770

I just went to check and take a screenshot, and apparently it's now 150...:conwayheadscratch:

Regardless, I still would like a way to cap my fps at 60/70

iPresentInterval=0 in the [Display] section of both files Fallout4.ini & Fallout4Prefs.ini in both folder locations at My Games/Fallout4 and Steam.../.../Fallout 4/Fallout4 AND in the nVidia control panel setting "Vertical sync = Use the 3D application setting" keeps me at 60FPS provided my monitor is set to 60Hz which it is.

You may have to add this iPresentInterval=0 to one of those .ini files I forget now, it was about a billion tweaks ago when the game first came out and yeah, I had 2500FPS in the opening splash scenes to about 180FPS in the game drove me crazy :)

Fixed it, the AMD control panel was confusing and I apparently had to create a new profile even though I had fallout 4 in my current profile. Thanks for the help anyhow:thumbs:

for me my main issue is if i put a fps cap loading takes noticeably longer but if i dont when im in areas with high fps bit of a screen tear happens. not much of an issue but would prefer to not go 400fps looking at a wall

If you have an Nvidia GPU open up Nvidia Control panel, Manage 3D settings, Program settings, find Fallout 4 in program settings and then set max frame rate in game to 60. Sadly for me the game keeps crashing...
