Scribe's Armor locations?

What I am looking for is the scribe's armor and scribe's hat, I can't seem to find a garunteed location of the armor set and when I look it up people are saying about a random encounter but I would like a garunteed set of it.

This probably. Either find a random patrol and follow them until they engage in combat and die or if you suck and side with the institue you can murder them like a good robot.

I don't think there's a guaranteed location of it. I only got mine via one of the BOS random encounters where one of the Scribes was killed by Super Mutants, so I could pick it up from the dead body.

You an always just kill a scribe. That or follow Brotherhood patrols around untill one dies. Look around vertibird crash sites too for bodies (this shouldn't be too hard. Vertibird crashes are plentiful and happen often).

I killed a guy and know my character looks awesome but there was no message saying "no longer allied with BOS" so I don't know if I'm actually still with them or the game forgot to tell me

Once I reached a certain point in the plot, I find plenty of Scribe outfits on the BoS corpses near the burning wreckage of crashed Virtibirds.

I found such armor with the distress call quest. Follow the radio signal and eventually you'll find a lot of dead BoS people. I also found a BoS combat armor (it has a unique BoS mod to it), but if you remove that mod then it can't be put back... at least I couldn't add it. Maybe I have to be allied with them. Anyway my higher tier leather armor had better protection so I ended up just storing it in a safe.

The actual scribe and other related BoS armor suffered the same fate.
