How do i assign people to tend me settlement's farm?
So yea i need more food in sanctuary, but for that i need another eprson to tend my crops. How do i assign them? The first person to tend my crops did that automatically after Sturge told me 'you should ask people to tend your crops', but she can only tend 6 crops max so thats 6 'foods'.

I've helped a fellow farm to the south and they have promised to join the minutemen, can i ask them to physically join sanctuary and tend my crops etc?

Thanks.

Go to the build menu and cursor over a settler, hit the command key(shown at the bottom), go up to food you have planted that is missing someone to harvest it and same key again to assign them to it, you will see your food go up 6 per settler if you have enough food planted.

If you have excess settlers anywhere, either make more beds(up to 20 per settlement) or go up to them again and use the 'move' option instead of command and select where to send them.

Thanks, it helped.
Its kinds hard to control people and tell them were to go., since i cant move while in workshop mode. So i always go near them, then enter workshop mode, then i tell them where to go, and when they're near, i quit the workshop mode and run to their place fast before they leave it, and then interact with them again to assign them with stuff.

This is either a very bad implementation or im doing something wrong.

Your not being able to move while in workshop mode is the problem.

You should be able to move around in build mode (press and hold V). It would be very hard to place buildings if you couldnt.
Err, where are the controls for 'workshop movement'? I had a feeling im not doing this right as it seemed a pure Bethesda move, and they dont usually go full ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

I've changed my in game movement to arrows instead of wsad but i cant seem to move in workshop mode either way.
The only way i can move (just tested and it worked) is with the auto-move key, which works at the workshop aswell, and while moving the mouse, i can practically move like normally, altho not exactly normally.
This still isnt the way they have intended, right?
The controls section in this game really hates the left handed :(

You may be stuck using automove for now. Apparently they didn't think key bindings were a core component of the game, and didn't bother testing it very thoroughly. Or at least I hope that's what happened. It would be more depressing to find that they did test it thoroughly and didn't notice the problems. Or that they noticed and just released it anyway.

So is this the way to move in workshop mode?

You said it worked for you, so sure. Normally, the standard movement keys work in that mode.

Standard move keys work for me in Workshop move. And yes, I am left handed.
Weird then. Well at least i can move.
Another question, can i rush settlers to go to certain places? When i command them to move somewhere, they walk in their normal speed and its annoyingly slow. Tried to double click that but nothing happened.
