Cait--best buddies vs lover's embrace

I did the questing with Cait. Got the "Trigger Rush" perk. The next level I chose the "flirt" option, and failed. The next time, flirt was still red, so I chose the lesser option, and now we are "best buddies". Have I screwed (no pun intended) myself out of the lover's embrace perk or will she offer the romance dialogs again? Also, does it harm the companion relationship to dismiss them temporarily?

Not true. Once you've become "Best Friends", the follower will sometimes want to talk to you about "something you talked about earlier" as in they will repeat the same convo you had with them when you had a chance to romance them giving you another shot at it.

The only time you lock yourself out of romance is if you chose the "Keep it professional" option when in that convo. You can bork the flirt/romance roll as many times as you want.

Doesn't matter. If you dismiss them they will still try and initiate the romance convo once you go near them after a set time.

If you don't know the answer then don't give one. "I don't know or I I Believe" means you don't know. I would not ask a question if i didn't want a real answer.
