I laid waste to that fool and then told his dad I did it..... He forgave me because he knew his son was a tool.

But to answer your question, no idea I'm afraid.

No, you sadly have to kill him. The quest in general seems unfinished and is lacking different ways to solve it. But don't worry, there won't be drastic consequences... As always in this game.
thanks for your answers

I felt the same way since it didn't have that FO3 feel to it, but it's slowly growing on me.

same for me, the longer i play the more i forget the negative reception & the more i love fo4! the game is full of hidden details / things
@TheReal has no right. If the player character kills Trish and her three bodyguards, Nelson will run away from the scene and can still be found alive in the Colonial Taphouse should he not be harmed. If he lives, his father will not send Triggermen after the player character. When he survive, he will automatically tell Marowski about the involvement of the Sole Survivor.
*If Pete Pembroke kill Nelson, father of Nelson will designate a reward on Pete head

Do you necro's travel in packs? This has got to be the 20th one in the last week.

Edit; And you don't even own the pc version of the game. Can't you please necro threads on the console forums?

In my theory its for the generation who is blind to consequences. Like a door with a sign saying "if you enter this room you die" they still enter and would cry if they die. Thats why there are no consequences in this game so even if you trigger a nuke while standing right next to it wich is.. one hundred percent death to any logical thinking person, in this game you´ll survive it...even so probably but you do..because no consquences for those people who do everything even suicider would shudder at...

Proably a advanced subculture of those who caused MMO´s to get respec features because they couldnt accept that the level up choice is permanent.
@ronr42 I just correct the wrong answer. It is high time for someone to do this since the thread is not closed and gives bad information
