Settlers all look alike.
Sanctuary, every settler responding to the beacon and showing up, is spawning as the exact same guy... now telling them apart for the purpose of who to assign to what, has gotten even harder.

Also starting to wonder if I should start kill/checking for synth components. How early can those start showing up in a game exactly?

Also, Brahmin aren't showing up for the feeding trough, at either settlement with one.

On the upside, no attacks, period, on either settlement and by now, I'd usually be getting hit occasionally at least.

That's terrifying.
It's like some sort of invasion brought forth by the Zeta aliens.

Just remembered, called them all over, except the one who is out as provisioner, I only have 3 settlers that came in via beacon, but so far, all dopplegangers, they started with the same clothes, all have the same voice etc (have since put road leathers on them, but the outfits were the same drifter set I think, to start with).

That's terrifying.
Actually terrifying, are any of them Synths?
If not, Fallout 4's randomly generated settlers on your save file must be acting up.

They showed up at very low levels for me, so, if they're synths, it started straight away. I'm getting some happiness drops in the settlement, but no sabotage so far. Brahmin aren't showing up either, so, I suspect something is just glitching. Also, only just finally had my first settlement defence (at lvl 25 or so).

I may just have been really high, but I swear a settler I had on guard duty and was a ghoul, somehow became normal again. Had same armor and weapons I gave him, just wasn't a ghoul anymore.

I've heard several times from people who had settler just change... can be hard to tell if it is synth, or glitching.

In my case, I suspect there might be a synth, simply because on returning from a fast travel, my settlement took a 2 point happiness hit for no apparent reason. As long as nothing is getting sabotaged, I don't care lol

I found one of my settlers naked, with just a formal hat on.

You could give them specific clothing. I give my shop-people suits and my farmers dresses.
That way I can tell them apart and see when a new guy does a job he shouldnt do.

It is still a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ solution though. But ♥♥♥♥♥♥ problems and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gamemechanics require ♥♥♥♥♥♥ solutions.

They;ve been into your chems...

I finally got a different settler type! A blonde woman, who looks spiffy working the medic stall thing in a vault tec labcoat... slightly worried she'll morph into another bald guy.

Side note, I had a 'blockage' on incomming settlers and no brahmin, I moved the feed trough to a location I'd previously used it, without problems, and immediately, a brahmin and another settler wander in.

If I do spot a synth, I'm not killing them, just going to put the synth jumper I found on them, mark them out to everyone as a source of derision! Take that institute!
