So are there ANY flesh rotting ghouls anymore?
Even just one? I kinda wish they remained in that creepier state, the wrinkly skin and missing nose just isn't as cool.

Are they all gone completely or has anyone been able to find even a single flesh rotten ghoul in FO4?

Ghouls are people who survived significant or prolonged exposure to radiation.

They're not zombies.

They don't actively rot any more than regular people...if anything they probably rot less since they can live so long.

There are festering ghouls at high levels.

Ghouls looked like complete garbage in the old fallout games, the feral ones anyway.

The ghouls in this game look like actual radiation damage victims.

I agree, I thought the ghouls were pretty underwhelming in FO4.

Mumboejumboh is right too though, intense amounts of radiation does make skin slough off like the ghouls we see pre-FO4 but it doesn't make sense for their skin to be perpetually peeling off since they aren't experiencing intense perpetual radiation anymore.

So I'm not sure what I'd have them do to fix it. I guess I didn't mind the unrealisticness though.
Underwhelming?

So you don't like:
- Improved AI
- Improved Texture and Mesh models
- Overall spooky factor taken up a notch

Ghouls are pretty much what I expect in fallout 4. THey are not zombies, they dont rot.. They are just Radiation damaged beings, with many who have who have just gone feral from it. They sprint at you, try to dodge your fire and beat you to death.

*edit* with that being said, I wouldnt mind if they had extra arms, or legs. or.... tackle O_o.

Not zombies, yet they sit unmoving, underground, underwater, without breathing, until a living person comes near them. Right. Not Zombies at all...

There breathing, you can hear them.

Ive yet to find one in anything but a puddle waterwise. Deep water is always lurks

I find them in water all the time. Even if I didn't, kinda hard to breath when you are covered in dirt. Also, the "breathing" they do sounds oddly, just like a Zombie.

Cause the're ferals ?? You know, ferals who have lost their minds?. Ghouls who are still sane act like normal people. Go around talking, eating sleeping etc etc

I should have been more specific, I was talking purely aesthetically, and in regards to ferals. I'm not complaining about AI or technical improvements - those are all there. I just didn't find their appearence very intimidating. The more human and less monster they look, the less scary they are, which psychologically, is a pretty normal thing. They became less shocking and disgusting, and more like. . . sad. Which, while fine on it's own, was a little dissapointing when I had expectations from the previous games that they would be scary.
Feral ghouls are humans exposed to so much radiation that they've been permanently sterilized, physically damaged, and are now both physically deformed (moreso than non-feral ghouls) and incapable of funcitoning at a level of thought more complex than that of a rabid animal.

It should make you sad. Very sad.

Ghouls are unrealistic to begin with, i'm aware that it's less realistic with the rotten flesh etc... but that's what they have always been in the past, and it was actually cool... but that isn't the question really.... has anyone spotted any ghoul at all yet that is like that or have they all been dulled down now? :(

reading comprehension fail? I never said anything of the sort to imply to speak for others about my opinion that they have been dulled/toned down (although they have been) so there's no need to tell me my opinion is just my opinion when i never anyone else thinks the same way.

If ghouls need to breathe, how did one survive trapped inside a refrigerator for 210 years? Apparently ghouls don't need to eat, drink, or breathe... for some reason.
