T-60 power armor is major lore BS
You remember FO3, where the BoS only had T-45d power armor? And T-51b was a unique armor better than enclave armor? Well, that was lorewise BS.

Now, in FO4, Encalve PA (Advanced Power armor or X-01 Power armor, I'm glad they finally have a proper name for it) is actually the best, as it should be.
T-45 is outdated power armor and T-51 is not stupidly rare like in FO3.
But now we have another lore failure: The T-60 PA.
The game states that T-60 was the last PA before the bombs fell. Wasn't this T-51b in the previous games, in EVERY previous game? Nope, there was T-60, too, they say.
And I could be OK with that, as long as T-60 would be rare. But no, everyone is running around in T-60, the second best power armor in the whole game. The Atom Cats, which are basically just some sort of tuner gang, and the BoS from Washington DC.
Yep, the BoS from Washington DC. How exactly did they get the T-60?
In FO3 they only had T-45d! And this would have been another good way to implement the lore of T-60 power armor to the game. They could have said:
"T-60 is post-war modified T-45d power armor."
But no, they had to say, T-60 was around before the bombs fell and it somehow istn't even rare. Oh, and well done Bethesda for screwing up even your own lore by saying on one of the loading screens, that T-51 was the best power armor before the bombs fell.
Well done.

Power armor lore upset.

More interesting (and less hypocrytical, Hi New Vegas 40mm grenades, etc etc) than complaining about .38 ammo.

They... build them.

The... brotherhood. Just like their weapons, ammo and so on and so forth.

But the game said that T-60 was build pre-war. Therefore, the BoS either had to find some working suits or have the Blueprints to know how to build T-60.

The BoS is all about collecting technology, so I see that as being possible.

So they collected it on their way to Boston?

Honestly at this point, I blame the aliens on all "Why is this possibly here?" things.

I blame them for finding only five .45 bullets and a silver spoon (and a basic pipe gun) in nearly every Master lock safe I open.

I also blame them for why every cap stash still only has 7-14 caps in it, when I'm level 44. Clearly they are ****ing with me.

The BoS had looted alien gun ammo in their stores in previous games, it totally fits! maybe. I'm not crazy!

Acutally the issue of finding junk things like that in master safes, is mainly a issue of a limited loot table.

Which is limited because of the Aliens!

Hey man, if people can have complete meltdowns over the mere existence ot .38 ammo because "It was never shown before" (while wishing we had all the never before seen ammo like 40mm grenades, etc, from NV back), I can blame the aliens for shoving it in a safe!

It makes just as much sense if you are desperatly grasping for lore reasons.

One of the FO4 loading screens calls the t-51b "The pinnacle of power armor technology" (or something to that tune). But then comes along the T-60, which contradicts said loading screen. So yes, I did notice the lore error. And I am one who prefers Bethesda over Obsidian (but let's not get sidetracked into that).

Have you been taking the scrounger, fortune finder, or scrapper perks? If not, those help. If so, then wow, you ARE getting gyped.

Furthermore, it has been 200 years, so people could probably figure out how to make stuff like this. That makes more sense to me; otherwise, it'd be the equivalent of us in this day and age using the same weapons that were used in the War of 1812 or Napoleonic Wars.

I know people talk up scrounger and slave farms with a side in water baron.

But the game is vastly different when you live off your loot alone, with no economy or loot perks (and 4-5 luck).

I mean, I get that your stuff is better with those perks. But it seems the general mindset is "well I get plenty with my factory of slave shops pumping out thousands of caps a day and 2-4 ranks of scrounger! So therefore, your Default Gameplay Experience doesn't count."

Besides which, I shouldn't be finding super loot in unlocked footlockers compared to freaking master lock safes

EDIT: For comparison. My latest unlocked open steamer chest in some otherwise worthless location of no note? Piles of ammo, assorted grenades, and a silenced reciver upgraded gauss rifle. This kind of good **** is average for a lot of simply sitting out in the open unlocked conainers for me at the level 40+ range.

Meanwhile, my last dozen master lock safes have single didgit .38 and .45 ammo, maybe a silver knife, and a default pipe gun. (EDIT: I finally took two ranks of scrounger some levels back and.... Safes are the same as before for me, really).

The only times master safes without some pre scripted special loot have had stuff worthwhile, were when they were in banks alongside expert and advanced safes holding just as much, or more, pre war money inside them.

I mean, I got the perks mostly for those occaions where it lets me into a building without looking for a water sewer pipeline into a basement full of mirelurks or something. But it's just silly how little safes give you compared to random open containers.
