consequences for informing to RR or BOS in quest "Battle of the Bunker Hill"

There are the options to inform either Faction of RailRoad and BOS.
I'm just curious, if I rat out to any of them, will there be consequence? If so, what is it?

I told the Railroad. The consequence were that the Institute lost this fight and the captured Synths were released. I just ran through and nobody attacked me (killing would result in reputation being lowered). Father made a comment like "this thing didn't make it easier to earn the scientist's trust", and that's all. For now. So, even if you decide to betray the Institute now, you could still join it afterwards.

Thanks. I didn't like the institute but was will to do the quest until you have to choose factions. I just thought if this is it.

Well, if you don't like the Institute I think it's smarter to inform your favourite faction, because they could get weakened if you don't decide to do so, which will make it harder to win in the end. Especially the Railroad is so small that every loss could be fatal. But that's only presumptions, I don't know what actually happens if you don't tell anyone.
