Automatically Pick Up Junk

Is there a way to make your companion automatically pick up junk that is in their vicinity, or a mod that will automatically put junk in your inventory when you get close to it?

That would be neat to have. I mean, I wouldn't want it for my first playthrough, but yeah. Would be nice for later games.

But..it should have the option to only pick up marked junk, not everything..otherwise both you and your comrade are overloaded pretty fast..if you pick up everything.

While not what you're looking for, there's something like "junkbuddy" that you can craft at your Robotics workstation: a robot companion that acts as a walking stash.

You can also look for a mod that allows you to drop a beacon near a stash site out in the CW and NPCs will come get it and haul it back. I don't have this one; opted for the junkbuddy.
