I need it pretty bad. I noticed every vendor in diamond city sells shipments of almost everything but I cannot find OIL? Thanks in advance.

Trashcan Carla sells it. She often visits Sanctuary If you find her, you can buy a shipment of 25.

Don't forget you can make it at a chem station, although you'll need 8 bone (among other things) per 3 oil.

4 canisters of mr handyt fuel, each containing 2 oil appear at the front door (the fast travel spawn point) to the Lexinton Super Duper Mart, and they respawn with the cell reset.

The Assaultron in Goodneighbor sells shipments of oil for pretty cheap and I believe one of the caravan salemen also sells oil. But, the best way is to just scavenge bones and make Cutting Fluid at the chem station.

like above says, do missions in sanctuary, get a mission to kill supermutants, bring a empty follower, and just one good gun, then farm bones, all bones -skulls, ribcages, they all break down to oil in the chem workbench, under utility.
with the scavenger perk u canmark oily content so it lights up when you are close to it, paintbuckets, stuff like that shines.
