Where the hell are the iguanas + squirrels?

Come on Bethesda, this is the 3rd fallout you've been in charge of + still no iguanas or squirrels to be found. wheres all this meat comin from + why can't i hunt the little bastards??? this aspect of the game is way past due to be addressed.

Werent teh Iguanas in Fallout NV ? (Obsidian had them) but yeah, its a good question. Are they really imported from the west ?

I have wondered myself, what happened to the rest of teh wildlife speices.

those were geckos. there has never been an actual iguana in any of the fallout games.

That was one vendor, 2,600 miles and 130-odd years prior to F4. Just because one guy sold human flesh as iquana, doesn't necessarily mean all iquana meat is people.

It may be one of those linguistic things where it's evolved to represent that because no-one really knows what an iguana is anymore. Sort of like the opposite of how "corn" is often used today to refer to maize specifically, but in the past was more like a generic term for local crops (so a "golden field of corn" in Europe would probably have been a wheat field).

Give it time, and the euphemism may become what wastelanders think it really means. It could even result in "iguana" coming to mean "edible".
