Game thinks I'm in power armor

So, I'm at the part of the story where you're at the memory bank and I can't go in the memory bank because "You can't do this while in power armor." The game thinks that I'm in power armor when I'm not. I mean, I HAVE been in power armor for the majority of the game since that's how I play, but once I exit the power armor it still thinks that I'm in power armor. I've tried closing the game and resetting and it still thinks I'm in power armor. It even won't display my pip boy menu when I press tab because it thinks that it has to show the power armor menu. Anybody else get this or have a fix? I'd really appreciate it.

have you tried getting into then out of power armor?

You've got a bugged power armor frame stuck on you. Open the console and type player.inv and there should be a frame in the list. There's some possible fixes on YouTube but I never got them to work. I had to roll back to a non bugged save and leave my frame wherever it was standing.

I didn't see any power armor frames in my inventory =/

Okay, so I actually don't have any power armor frames in my inventory. Searched the entire thing in the console command. Removed everything. removed all of the non-removable stuff, even typed in to remove the power armor frame id: 0003e577 and 000b1c09 and I'm still having the same problem. So I think we can rule out me having a bugged power armor frame.
Does anybody else have anything to go on? Going back to a save is out of the question at this point because I've had this for so long in the game that I just kept playing with the power armor that I didn't really notice. It's only until now that it thinks that it's a problem.

and no, the power armor and any power armor that I have or had were all legit and aquired without console commands.

from what I saw...power armor isn't an item but a "race" try player.setrace <whaterver the id for Player Character is>

No, that didn't work either. Same problem. I'm contacting bethesda support, but if anyone still has any tips, I would greatly appreciate it.

Im having the same problem, i tried removing a Tomcat? Power frame from my inventory, then trying to enter the power armor again, no help, i set my race to human, stil didnt work.
