Problem with items sinking trough surfaces , any ideas?

In short:

In FO3 I loved decorating my home with weapons, etc and unique items I'd find trough playing the game. (my megaton house was a little museum in the end)
Thing is, you could drop something from your inventory and it would be in exactly the same place as where you put it when you got back there the next time.

Problem:
As you can see in the screens above FO4 has the following problem with that.

Items placed by the player seem to sink trough the surface they are placed on a bit every time you are away and came back to your house.
to eventually, lose the item totally as it fell trough the surface on which it was standing on.

Does any one know a solution for this or some way to display these cool items like a Mr. gutsy model etc?

Thanks!

I did a litle testing yesterday.

Pillows on a bed don't sink trough it's surface.
An alarm clock on a table next to the bed is no where to be found next time I came back to this place.

How and why?

I'm having this problem too.
It doesn't happen every time with every object, but it happens with most of them, and there doesn't seem to be any consistency for when it happens and when it doesn't.
Anyway, I hope they fix it, as I like decorating too. I think the rooms feel pretty dead unless you can put the junk out on display.

yeah like souvenirs you find, it's so nice to have them displayed in your house, but it's not working.

I found a bucket of blood on some sidequest so I figured I could place that on the concrete floor of the world, but no -.- it was halfway sunken trough the floor next time I got back.

So all the unique stuff you find can't be displayed now (besides magazines and bobbleheads).
I hope there will be a solution in the way of a patch or mod maybe!
An engine issue I'd guess. Might even have to do with non standard heights of the building.

That's been an issue in the past few games. It's an engine thing where the area just doesn't load well. I'm n ot sure there's much of anything you can do about it other than try to reload the area.
The items load faster than the ground or surface, and they fall through before the ground or surface gets its physics in place. It's plagued Bethesda games as far back as I can remember, and they still haven't found a way to fix it, or just choose not to.

The best is the poorly designed boats.

I've gone on some boats where all the furniture stays in place while the boat itself rocks up and down... or was it the other way around?

The items rock up and down and the boat stays in place. I facepalmed myself into a coma when I saw that the first time, in Skyrim....

Thing is, it worked fine in FO3 and skyrim also as far as I remember and even in this game it seems to remember fine what is in the world by default.

anything placed by the player though might sink trough the world, with aparantly exeptions (like pillows on beds, god knows what else does and does not work..)

I'd love! to see a fix or a mod for this!

My favorite is watching settlers falling from the sky when I build houses on top of freeways by Finch Farm.
Be prepared. Most of the items you place, will vanish after a certain point.

The best fix I found so far is just using this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4270/?

This way you can turn the miscelaneous items you find into static build objects and just place them, they won't even budge!
