Do one need to do the ArchiveInvalidation in the Fallout 4 .INI`s like in the other Fallout games to enable modding?
As the tittle says, Im wondering if one need to do the ArchiveInvalidation in the Fallout 4 .INI`s like in the other Fallout games to enable modding. If so, how do I do that? I know we can "Reset the ArchiveInvalidation" via Nexus Mod Manager, but is it that that activates the ArchiveInvalidation?

From my reading, we dont need to do the ArchiveInvalidation then? :)

If you want slower loading times, use the method that Rudiger linked.

Go to your Fallout4.ini in Documents/My Games/Fallout4 and add under the [Archive] Section

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

For me this had the side effect of allowing custom typefaces to be loaded.

Thanks for the info. I also read ths sad news abot that Bethesda`s new patch
disables the mods now and then and you have to set "Fallout4Prefs.ini" and "Fallout4.ini" to
read only to fix that. I added ArchiveInvalidation and bEnableFileSelection=1 anyway.

Havent had ny problems with the innstalled mods: ReShade, Full Dialogue Interface and Lowered Weapons. There is a thread about this on the Nexus ModManager forums here:

Just put like this and mods work:

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=
