Inventory, inventory never changes...

Why oh why couldn't they give us a quick & easy way to sort our inventory? I spend far too much time scrolling thru an ever increasing inventory list, transferring building items to one container, weapons to another, clothes to another etc. When I'm in Pip Boy, I have all those types categorised, but not in transfer (R) ! No, then I have to laboriously scroll thru the entire inventory! They have given us a sort (Z) but that only slightly helps with the stuff already in the container & even then, only by specific niche categories, like ROF & ACC. What would be useful is when you're trying to build specific item (s), to be able to mark the exact amount you need & then be notified when you've got enough of it. For a RPG that relies heavily on an Inventory UI sytem, you'd think they'd be able to sharpen that element of this game eh?

My biggest bone to pick with Inventory is not having a filter where new items appear at the top of the list. This makes Holotapes and notes that are in a container more of a pain in the ass to check out than they should be.

You can easily sort everything when you Transer, look for the arrows at the top of your inventory list and click them. You can sort by armor, weapons, junk, etc. You don't have to laoriously scroll through anything.

Couple of good inventory sorter mods on Nexus. But it is stupid that they couldn't be bothered to use prefixes.

'My Inventory' title. My Fallout life is going to be SO much easier now! You're a star! :)
Of course, sadly this means my thread is somewhat foolish now. Doh! :)
I do have a bone to pick about quest items tho. I accepted the Silver Shroud quest & now have to carry a 7 wt coat around & I chose a weak Strength perk to start, so I have to watch my weight constantly. I should be allowed to deposit that either where I got it from (as it only applies there) or maybe in a safe. I don't think I've tried giving it to Dogmeat, I'll go & try that.

There is a sort button, albeit it doesn't work properly.

I imagine a patch or mod can fix it. I'm okay with the inventory as it is though.

Bethesda is too lazy, or they don't give a ♥♥♥♥. They know that WE (the community) will make the game what it "should" be when the damn GECK comes out. Pure laziness.
