Map is SMALL!!!
Kind of disappointed with the small map. The pipboy is so tiny and takes up like 2/4 of the screen. When you drag your cursor over the map it stops moving after a muscle twitch. I thought there would be more places like diamond city...

I'm looking forward to the next elder scroll game. Fallout 4 doesn't feel as adventurous as skyrim.

Right - You have a superdense map with ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of locations, but you'd rather have a sprawling map with nonexistent location density and tons of meaningless locations like mountains you can't cross?
Gtfo.

lol except there were lots of cities, towns, caves, moutains, and woods.

Having a bigger map lets modders fill it in. Skyrim is absolutely beautiful with graphic mods alone. You probably never played skyrim with mods

I thought the map was small, too, at first. Then I started playing the game. The map feels a lot bigger ones you've been playing some. A lot of content crammed into the map.

The map may be small but I guarantee you, you won't explore everything until 100 hours+. Very big on exploration but I'm sure you've played enough to grasp that.

I damn sure did, and I hated it all the same.
What difference does "filling it in" make when most modders will use existing territories or make THEIR OWN WORLDSPACES for mods like Falskaar or Moonpath?

central boston feels like stalingrad lite you need to look to the skies and occasionally you can get up. the freeways tend to have outposts on them and im slightly annoyed you cant commandeer them from the raider/gunners id like my own settlement in arefu style with an elevator

The map is extremely small. I don't care how many hundred locations they cram into it, it's still a very small map...

Somehow the people of the commonwealth manage to have trading routes and actually travel the roads when you can't walk 10 feet without running into some super mutants, raiders or some sort of enemy. Also all these different enemy types almost never interact despite being extremely close to each other.
Go play skyrim or just cause 3 then. This map is no larger than an infant ♥♥♥♥. This commonwealth BS is small and 30% of it is water. I don't think capital wasteland and mojave desert are by any means larger but they just give players more stuff about lores and sh1t. Bethesda on this one failed pretty hard on both quantity and quality. Yeah sure it has some historical monuments like state house and liberary, but keep in mind the whole GD map of gtav sent regards of Los Angeles and that didn't singlehandedly grant the game a solid 10/10. So don't think f4 map is good 'cause that ain't even true, fanboys.

the map is definitely small and it is pretty hard to freely explore as you often run into enemies

I hate the fact there isnt a few AI settlements around... Theres, Diamond City thats really only a average community at best and had room for lots of improvement (seriously), Vault 81 was ok for a vault community. Goodneigbuor is a joke for a town, barely anything there. Like 2 streets. I have come to the conclusion, after 200 years humanities still ♥♥♥♥♥♥. Radiers are doing better than the general populace in Bostin. Where are the traders going and coming from. Raiders would be eating them up?

And after my thread I just made, Player made settlements just plain suck.

Jeez, this topic again?

I mirror this sentiment only because it's a lot like FO3 - downtown is dense as ♥♥♥♥ but the outskirts have huge areas with no fast travel spots in between.

My Spectacle island is bigger than Diamond, obviously, because it's literally bigger. My Sunshine Tidings is pretty big too. Most of Diamond City is shops with very few houses, just like Megaton and Rivet and New Vegas were.

If you're lvl 71 and "there's nothing left to do", you're bad at the game and you're bad at Bethesda games and you shouldn't be playing. That will be all out of you.

I'm 82 and I literally levelled up 3 times last night just from crafting and working on settlements. Yea, there's nothing left to do. Welcome to mods bro.
