How do you share junk between settlements?
I have a lot of junk at one location but I want to build at another. I set up supply lines but those only work for materials that have already been broken down. There is no option to break down junk in the workstation, only to store it.

Please dont tell me that I have to drop each item on the ground and scrap it in workshop mode!!

The junk gets shared between connected settlements, but if you open the workstation, you will only see the junk that has been stored there.

I.e. you can use all the junk for building, but you only can take out what you have put in at the specific location.

If you have the ability to , say, make 381 floor tiles at your main camp, and at the new settlement you can only make 43...

Then after you set up a trade route, you will be able to make 381 floor tiles at BOTH settlements, as your main stash becomes common between the two settlements

junk only gets shared when you are in workshop or crafting mode but shared junk will not show up in the workshop menu when you click transfer. only what is stored in that settlements workshop will appear.

Not true. All materials are available, even from junk that hasn't been scrapped yet. The junk itself can't be teleported between workshops but the materials are still available when crafting.

Ok, I understand. I assumed that I didn't have access to the items since they didn't show up in the workshop. Thanks.

You can scrap junk by throwing it on the floor in your settlement und then scrap them in build-mode. I use this to transport raw-materials around.

Supply lines work for all the junk in your workshop's inventory. It's not important whether it's scrapped or not. If you want to check it, drop non-scrapped item with some rare material to workshop and view the amount of availible raw materials in building menu. Then go to other settlement without taking that junk from workshop's inventory and view materials again. The amount will be the same.
