go to the power armour stations and modify the armour gives you a option to repair it does require mats tho

You need to collect steel items in order to fix power armour components I think. Making upgraded parts requires more uncommon materials like aluminium so get ready to go looting.

Better grades of power armor need more parts, yeah.

My modded up T-60 II E armor wants steel, plastic, and aluminum (I think a 4th part for the torso?)

While my old default T-45 armor just wanted some steel.

Okay so I remove the armour or just leave the entire suit there at the station?

You gotta get out of it close enough to the armor station for the craft option to let you repair it, yeah.

Also, The MAIN thing to remember is it will always want the same amount of materials no matter how damaged it is.

It's going to demand the full amount of materials to repair 8 damage, so while later you should have plenty of materials from junk in your workbench, keep that mind before you repair every single piece every time it loses so much as 2 health.
