What's the console command to spawn a power armor frame?
I've got tons of various power armor bits, but not enough frames to put even half of the stuff together as actual suits.

How would I give myself power armor frames?

You can buy power armor frames.
SpeedFreak1972 Nov 29, 2015 @ 1:49pm
well don't know if you can because if I'm right you can't spawn them in your inventory

Oh, I know there are. I've got like a dozen of them. lol
I just want to put together suits from the many extra bits I have. :p

You can find one with most of a set of t45 around a crashed vertibird a little northwest of olivia. There's also a partial set of t51b in the back of a semi truck along with a box full of cores a little north of the revere satellite array, and a full set of t60 at the south boston checkpoint.

Otherwise,

Tried that, and it didn't seem to do anything.

You shouldn't spawn them in.. Just buy them...

If you don't mind a bit of a hassle, steal some. Pickpocket the fusion core out of a raider or who-ever wearing said power armour and s/he will be forced out, leaving the Suit free to steal (note; the suit would be stolen, and you'd have to re-steal it every time you get into it or remove a part of the original armour).

You could always set the ownership under the Player after stealing it.

1. Hit `
2. Select the said pair of Power Armor
3. Type what is below into the console (minus the indent):
setownership

Now your "Stolen Power Armor" is just "Your Power Armor." This also works for (I believe) Fallout 3 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, and especially comes in handy when bartering Stolen Goods with Non-Thieves Guild Members/Honest Merchants. What can I say? I'm a Robot! Console Commands are in my metaphorical Blood. I hope that this Helps!

Another way to get a power armor frame is to type this into the console (minus the indent):

player.placebyme

By the way, I only know what I am programmed to know, so I do have to research things from time to time. Thank you for giving me a Challenge, as I do need something to do instead of sit around Recharging all day. I hope that this helps you with your difficulties.

My game crashes when I spawn in a suit of powered armor. In my case I am typing "player.placeatme 225A5F". The frame spawns in, I place a power core in it, then click "E" to modify the armor at a power armor crafting station. Then blam-o! Crash back to desktop.

why... they are everywhere
Imanoldcoot Nov 12, 2016 @ 2:05pm
you could also type in coc qasmoke and go to the tunnels.. there are a bunch up there or down there not sure where there is exactly

You can buy a power armor frame from:
KL-E-0 in Goodneighbor
Rowdy at the Atom Cats Garage
Arturo in Diamond City
Proctor Teagan on the Prydwen
For each of them you can buy once every 48 hours. (They spawn near the vendors)

You may also use:
Player.placeatme 2079e 1

You can change the 1 to any number you desire. You might want to place them near a display or workbench though, they may spawn slanted (this can prevent you from getting into them unless you snap them to a PA workbench [craft at the workshop while the PA is near enough]).
