How to level down?
I have no other saves and I accidently saved when i had level 60, why would they not let me level down?!

The only way to do so, would be to use the console.

Command:
player.setlevel #

Where # Is the level you want.

You mean you chose the wrong option? Well there is no cap, so there is no real reason to enable some convoluted process to level down. Do some grindy quests after sleeping I guess?

You can't, even with console, there is no way of lowering your level.

Short of starting over, that is.

I used set level to get to 60, i tried typing it to get to 10 but it says they do not support leveling down. WTF?!

It's best to load an older save, then.
Or you can start over.

Scarecrow, did you listen to ANYTHING I said?! I had only ONE save (and it was only a quicksave) and I ACCIDENTLY quicksaved on level 60!

The console was just about your only option, and If there Isn't that, then you can try, which you can't hold me accountable for:
Fallout 4 Save Editor, on NexusMods

Otherwise, there really Isn't anything you can do at this point.

You can no longer use it to level down. On the other hand I believe enemies don't scale with level so level by itself doesn't affect the game much, except for loot of power armor and maybe other items that do spawn only after certain levels.

Could've sworn It let you at one point In time, but I guess It doesn't now.
I'm not sure If that Save Editor supports editing of levels, but It's either that, or he has to start all over.

I tried the save editor but nothing happens, am I doing something wrong? I put the exp at 1 and leveling exp at 1 aswell as my level at one but it doesn't change.

This console command clearly points out it CANNOT be used to level down...

So you used the console to get to level 60? With your only savegame? :steamfacepalm: Console commands are not supported anyway, so be carefull if you use them.
Save editor would is the only possible options I guess.
