Stealth boy doesnt' work?
Trying to use it in big fights so i can heal (on survivor stimpacks work really slow) but it really doesn't work...

I go into cover, use it, wait a few seconds, move... and all types of enemies fire at me while i am invisible, just like i wasnt stealthed at all.

Stealth boy doesn't work at all or am i doing it wrong?

It does not make you 100% invisible. Just much harder to detect while you are sneaking.

Actually, I have found it does not even do that. I had one character with max sneak and agility, using a stealth boy, and a raider who was at least the length of the interior of the steelworks could see me as if I was standing in front of him when he turned around. the Stealth boys do absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

If you were detected before using it, It won't do anything.

If enemies know where you are, then turning transparant isn't going to make them suddenly forget.

You need to at least wait for [Caution] status, and then you need to be careful about making noise.

Fallout 4's Stealth Boys are equivalent to the Elder Scrolls 4's Chameleon spell but only around 50% magnitude. The Railroad's Stealth Boys not only deploy their cloaking effect instantaneously, they are close to 90% Chameleon. That is as good a reason as any to keep them around or, at least, to stock up on them before killing Tinker Tom.
