Help - Sun light too bright?
Hello guys, I'm having a issue with the sun light (or it's just a feature of the game that I want to disable so bad), specially when I turn my look to some source of light (like a window with sun light getting inside the building).

Here are some screenshots:

http://puu.sh/lBFdM/136f85e96b.jpg (right after I turn my look to these windows)

http://puu.sh/lBFcR/ee349639a9.jpg (after a couple os seconds, the brightness get lower and everything stabilize)

I already tried to disable Lens Flare on the game settings (even on the falloutpref.ini file), disable depth of field and godrays too, but none of the changes disable this effect.

Here are my settings on the launcher:

(My rig: i7 4770k + gtx 980)

Someone PLEASE can tell me if this is a normal thing on the game, or if it's possible to disable? Sometimes this is worse, specially when it's fog weather, then this increase and decrease of light become intense, nearly getting into a state that blinds my character for a couple of seconds.

Thank you.

I'm reinstalling the game to check (tried to verify integrity of the files on steam but nothing happened).

This problem is so annoying, it's like the sun light getting brighter suddenly and then go back to normal after a second or two. And if I keep moving, this thing happen again if I look towards the sun.

I don't even need to look directly to the sun, only to move my character in that direction.

Are you wearing any chameleon armor? Try taking it off, or standing up out of crouch mode.

The HDR bloom effect can really mess with it for me, it seems. I have the same issues (or similar ones) and it seems to be tied to my chameleon armor, which was an armor piece from a legendary drop. Looking at your pictures, similar things happen to me with that armor on.

If you do reinstall the game, do not use a previous save game that had any chameleon armor.

Of course that may not be it if you don't have such armor, but maybe you had some at some point and dumped it? It could be a feature that is "sticky" and lingers for you?

Try starting a new game or load one from not long after emerging from the vault and see if the problem persists?

As a matter of fact, I was thinking exactly about this during my new install, that maybe could be the chameleon armor. I have two pieces of that kind of armor, one on the leg and other on my arm.

I will try now to use the same save and wear off the armor to see if this problem is solved.

How did you fix in your case? Did you just stop using such armor and the problem goes away?

Thank you so much man, it works wearing off these chameleon armors! I guess I reinstalled the game for nothing, but anyway, it worked.

Just to show if someone came here with the same problem, it looks like this:

With more or less intensity (often with more intensity)

I have this issue and it actually is hurting my eyes too much to even play. Is there a permanent fix? I want to use my legendary chameleon armor because it's bad ass.

If anyone has this without wearing the chameleon armour, try using rimod 00094636 or rimod 002041B6 in the console.

It only occurs with chameleon armor unfortunately. Makes the stuff unwearable. Should I try this command to see if it fixes the chameleon armor problem? Whats the worst that would happen if I used these commands?

The worse that could happen is that the effect stops showing, I think, but save before just in case.

You can also try this mod[www.nexusmods.com], which removes the glow and weapon transparency from the chameleon effect... although the pip-boy will still be transparent (but maybe slightly more usable without the glow)...
