Alt = Throw grenade AND use scope- worst possible combo - remap possible?
Having the alt key bound to those two functions is the worst possible mapping.
right-click mouse and then ALT, then you have hold breath.
But very often, when reloading, I am still on the alt key, making it throwing a molotov or something alike right in my own face.
Can the "Throw stuff" key be remapped to G=Grenade, just as for every other normal game?

If it's that bad then use autokey
Spocks Toupee Nov 28, 2015 @ 3:08am
I've done that

I've also hit ALT BEFORE hitting RMB, then quickly realizing my mistake, I release the ALT key quickly, (in an effort to avoid tossing a grenade at my feet), and instead I end up doing a Melee hit with my rifle and yelling "HAAAA!" really loudly, and alerting EVERYBODY to my position.

Very very very bad choice of context-sensitive functions mapped to ONE KEY

Considering that ALL of the 'new features' of Fallout 4, are just Mods from FO3 and FO:NV, you'd think they would've stuck with the original mod's 'G" key assignment for throwing a grenade

Just remap the key to something else then

Not for the melee and throw I mean for the accidentally hitting the alt key, I prefer mouse 4

Ahem, you mean SECOND worst default bindings.

Very worst is "Hold V for vanity camera angles" activating build mode in settlements. How am I supposed to takes screenshots of myself lounging on my Yao guai skin rug while shooting my laser shotgun under these conditions!?

(But seriously, even after I rebound power attack, I've set myself on fire more times than I'd like to admit because I kept the button held down after taking an extra powers swing or gun bash)

yea the keybinding is not optimal to say the least.

That hint is a fail.
The "Bash" "Power attack" "Grenade" is ONE key, you cannot split it.
That is the problem.

The original problem was holding breath(use scope too) and the grenade/throw were both alt. Also accidentally pressing alt

According to the title at least

You think its bad for holding breath. Try melee build, you try do a heavy hit with alt nad end up throwing a grenade at your feet.

No it wasn't "Accidentally" pressing ALT, as a matter of fact I have to twist my hand into an unnatural position to even hit the ALT key.

The problem is accidentally hitting ALT for too short a time or too long a time, or hitting it in the wrong context.

Actually it's Bash, Power Attack, Grenade, Hold Breath on ONE key.

More often than not I end up Bashing, or Throwing a Grenade when trying to Hold Breath

The PC market has been an afterthought at best for every Bethesda title post-Morrowind. The awful keybinding's just another example of that. Eventually a mod will fix it and the UI, but it shouldn't have to be fixed in the first place.

I bound bash/grenade to my MLG razer mouse 4, alt is only for sniping now and it's way better then have all 3 on 1 awkward key
