Mod-Death Sounds

Need help trying to get a custom death sound to work for this game. Tried everything i can think of and still cant get it to work.

I have the modified the fallout 4 ini to include sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\

And the prefs ini to include bEnableFileSelection=1
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

And the sounds themselves are installed to D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Music\Death

The files are called mus_death_01.xwm mus_death_02.xwm mus_death_03.xwm

I have a fatman sound replacement already installed and working some im pretty certain it isnt the ini files. And ive downloaded the death sound mod from several websites all to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have a sound folder made in the data folder?

yeah i do and it contains a fx folder for the other mod i mentioned that is working. I even tried putting the files in there to see if it would work and it didnt.
