[SPOILER] how to save gabriel?

Every option i chose the damn courser shuts him down. is it even possible to save him?

This is an old post, and I don't exactly have a definitive answer, but....

I tried killing the courser before he finished the reset code and Gabriel was teleported away after I finished killing the courser and the raiders. The courser started to say the beginning, but I killed him before the b17.. code.

Edit: Since the courser is an essential NPC, he can't due and probably finished the reset code while I was killing the raiders. Oh, well.

Did you try making the courser nonessential? Or did you try killing Gabriel?

Don't target Gabriel. All you get is dialogue options. Make sure you have decent enough stats to fire a high-powered weapon multiple times. I am currently playing on normal difficulty. As soon as you exit the Captain's Quarters onto the roof, when his dialogue pops up, look away from him to another raider that you can activate VATS on then press the button to cycle through available enemy to Gabriel and load up your shots on him. I used a fatman and was able to load up two shots at his torso. The first one took him down to a sliver of life left and the second finished him. You should probably have some decent armor as well...in case I actually needed to say that. ;)
