Flickering grass/shrub/foliage textures?
My only issue with this game. Any likely fix by settings or mods?

Anybody have any ideas? I know this isn't only happening to me.

It happened to me once and it was after fast travelling and went back to normal in a minute or so

Thanks for the reply, but it seems pretty permanent for me. I'll probably need a texture mod, settings change, or proper sli profile to come out. Anyone else got any ideas?

I am having the same issue, and no, I do not know how to fix it.

I had the exact same problem. Try tinkering with your tv settings, like advanced contrast controls. It did the job for me!

Oh and definitely lower your sharpness. Hope this helps.

Have this problem, too, from the beginning. Tried tweaking sweet fx sharpness, filters and other stuff, but nothing so far.

It is most likely mod related. For those of you who dont have mods installed and still are experiencing this, go in the advanced graphics settings and see if TAA is turned on. If so, try turning it off and see if this helps.
It may also be that you need to do a clean uninstall/reinstall of your GPU driver using the DDU program. I do not know if this program works for AMD cards or not. Ive only used it with Nvidia.
IF you are using a Sweet FX mod, keep in mind that Fallout 4 just got a new patch recently which means you may need to uninstall/reinstall the mod (look for updates as well).
LASTLY, if you are using a 900 series Nvidia GPU, go into the Nvidia 3D settings and make sure you dont have the DSR turned on. When DSR is turned on, you do not need to have antialiasing turned on. This flickering happened to me in Skyrim because of the DSR + Antialiasing. Choose one or the other. Try turning down the grass fade level as well if nothing else works.

The only time it appeared for me is when I was messing with settings and turned the AA down, turned it back up to the highest setting (whatever that is) and it stopped.

Thanks for the advice. Sadly, nothing worked out for me. Already used all the tweaks you described. I am using an NVidia GeForce GTX 760 and various mods, but the flickering has been there from the start before I even installed the first mod. Played Skyrim a few weeks ago with the same setup, never had an issue with flickering there.

Sigh. :steamsad:

Hm, I don't think so. But I'm not sure, havent played the game since february. Maybe I'll reinstall and check it, wanted to try new mods anyway...

The foliage shouldn't be flickering, however they do shimmer with taa enabled. Try using fxaa instead or off.

It's the opposite with me. When I have FXAA on, it shimmers. With I have TAA on, it shimmers, but it still shimmers less.

So, I installed it again and tried, the problem seems to have vanished. Don't know if I did something different, though...
