Can't power up radio in Castle
I have enough generators, but no matter what I try I cannot get power to the radio for the minutemen in Castle. Anyone else run into this? Nothing is broken. I stored everything and put it out again. Power works for lights and guns, but no the transmitter.

Might sound silly but did you connect a wire to it? It also takes 10 power

it takes 1 PERSON and 10 POWER

the generators must be connected to each other

Use the power conduit at the front of the tower, the one on top of the blue/grey console. It requires 10 power in case you didn't notice.

You should always have one person that will be perma assigned to it, even if you don't assign them yourself. I believe he has god mode too since I saw him attack a Mirelurk that was still in the base and he just fell over and got back up shortly after

I have 3 wires hooked up to the Radio, one from a large generator, and 2 from a medium generator. (One goes to the Ratio, another one hooks up around the top, and another one hooks up to the panel) - Just check your connections is what I'm trying to say :P - and don't overload generators.

yup, have wire connected to the terminal right on the radio, then tried one on the tower above it, then both. Generators are connected to a pylon, I have 50 power. It used to work, not sure what broke it.

Having same problem (radio transmitter used to work, but now the NPC won't sit down at the transmitter and ust says "we've got to get that transmitter powered up before I can start transmitting again..."
In my case, I think it may have broken when I added a bunch of additional generators and powed up the rest of the castle (existing lights, new laser defenses)... I'm just speculating... I'm not sure that there is a correlation between adding the generators and the transmitter bugging out, but I know that it used to work because I was able to complete the quest to use the smoke grenades on the building near the castle...
I have tried removing power to the transmitter and restoring it again, removing the generator and replacing it, turning the transmitter (speaker) off and back on... none of these things seem to resolve it....
Anyways, if anyone has figured out how to resolve this bug/issue with the castle radio transmitter not working (getting it to work again), I'd definitely appreciate knowing how to fix it.

Abratlie - Thank you very much! Applied the fix from the thread that you referenced and that resolved the issue! (Radio guy is sat back down and is once again broadcasting from the Castle - and I'm able to use the smoke grenades to call in artillery strikes.)
Thanks again!

I got it to work fine, I just grabbed 2 medium generators and hooked them up, then hooked those up to the tower. The main thing is you need to have 10 power specifically devoted to that machine, that's why I used the 2 medium generators right next to it, and hook them up to the conduit in the little tower shack and nothing else.

Use that on the console, if playing in survival then get https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12556/? then turn in back off.
