Confidence Man (Bug?)

Sooo..is this bugged? Two npc's cougar and bull just can't die and keep coming back to life after I've shot them, travis isn't helping vadim and I really have no idea what to do anymore to finish this quest. (I'm not using any console commands or mods)

This is the only fix that worked for me. Please backup your saves, this will take about 30min.

The easy way is to load a save before the bar fight. Do not help Travis, just let him fight and keep yourself alive. If you deal to much damage to the thugs it bugs out.

In my case I didn't go to the brewery directly after the bar fight and this would have cost me 4 hours of playtime and only noticed it because i couldn't die.

That's the only straight up way that I know to fix it. The link that was provided is the only other option I know of.

I'm trying your solution right now Efreakingt, didn't help travis at all untill he was knocked out, then I had to throw like 2 punches. Going to see if it works.

Try it again, and this time perhaps just punch them instead of shooting them. You're supposed to have a fake bar fight, not murder them.

It worked :) I never shot them from the beginning, just punched.

This quest is so bugged. I played it a number of times last night and am just going to skip it for now.

First they both die in the bar, Vadim rakes me over the coals for murdering them. Then Vadim chases the second guy into a store room and murders him and then rakes ME over for murdering!! I hardly punched anyone. Then I manage to get both of them alive but Travis pulls out a gun and starts shooting and doesn't give me the "thanks speech" and Vadim says it didn't go as expected. Scarlet is gone from the bar - maybe she is supposed to be. Bull never gave his little speech when leaving.

Someone was always firing guns. I always only used my fists, even the times they died from my punching. I am afraid of any of these endings bugging out my game.

Does Vadim get kidnapped still if they are dead?

How do you get the good speech where Travis thanks you and Vadim says something nice? I saw it in Youtube video.
