Vergil's Cure

Where it Vergil's Cure located in the FEV lab? Vergil has requested that I get the cure but now that I'm here I realized it's not any quest, not even in misc. I was hoping I could still get the cure for him but I've double checked the area and found nothing. Have I just been bugged out of being able to complete this quest or did I just miss a part of it?

It's on a table inserted into a machine. Big cylindar device. Same room as the 2 mutants in game.

Thus why I asked if it could be a glitch or if there might be a step I'm missing.

Seventy hours in, don't think that'll be happening. But yes it appears to be because I've reloaded from before the Institute and it isn't appearing and talking to Vergil just puts me in an infinite loop of "Where's the serum". I'd avoided any major bugs until now so I thought it might be something else but guess there's always a first time...an annoying first time.

if you can get someone to give you the item id then you can console command the item into your inventory
or just console command teh quest to the next stage

i had to do this for a quest,

In case anyone is still looking for the console command for the cure just use this.

player.additem 000B254D 1

This will give you the Experimental Serum used to cure Virgil.

If it is not where it is supposed to be, and it's not anywhere nearby such as on the ground or, rarely, in the ground (which you would need to type tcl into the console to travel through the ground to look around), then try to spawn it with console commands.

Or you can reload an earlier save if you have one and hope it is there.

I think it's in the Bioscience department if I remember correctly. (where the supermutant preserved behind glass is located) It's on a table somewhere in there.
