Questions: Strength and Carrying Capacity
1. What is the ratio of strength (1-10) to amount of weight that can be carried?

2. Is it worth getting the perk that gives you additional 25 pounds of carrying?

3. What is adding the "extra pockets" to armour actually do?

You start with 200 carry capacity, +10 for each point in strength.

Each point of the strong back perk adds the equivalent of 2.5 points of strength.

Basic pockets add 5 carry capacity.

Thank you!

So, does five carry capacity mean 5 lbs, or is there a limit to how many of something one can carry?

1. One (1) point of strength is equal to twenty (20) points of carry weight.

2. Is that the lone wander perk? Worth it to do the first to levels. You get 50lb extra. Any lb extra is always good anyways. (Note: I said first two levels because I don't like perks that give me defense // damage buffs, makes the game to easy.)

3. The extra and deep pockets increases carry weight. Worth it? Debatable.

It's weight. There is a more advanced mod called deeper pockets that adds10 lb per armor piece.

The worth of carry weight adds, to a player, is directly proportional to how much the player likes to pick up "everything" (especially for scrapping for crafting materials), and how much they dislike having to either walk or fast-travel every 10-20 minutes to dump "everything" back at a base. ;p

If one isn't into the settlement stuff much, less need to pick up/scrap. And long-term, of course, one probably is geared up enough where there's little need to pick up almost anything, at all.

As far as armor mods go, lighter build will make your armor slighlty less heavy, which gives you a small amount of carry capacity imporvement and slightly better stealth. Pockets will make your armor slightly heavier but has a superior carry capacity improvement at the cost of a little stealthiness.
