In the D.B. Techinal High School there are terminals that talk about the monster in the basement, is this an easteregg or is there somthing there?

no monster the terminals also mention the boss spending a lot of time down there. he got big by a dog contacted rabbies and is going insane killing his men off in violent rages thinking it was some monster. hes wearing a bear helmet to symbolize the beast of the basement

Just did this earlier today (gave the Mascot Head to Sheffield, lol).

Yeah, the "Beast" is just the leader of the raiders there, like @dacon333 said.

I actually missed one of the terminals, so I went back through DB Tech looking for this awesome beast, expecting a Mirelurk King or Deathclaw or something. Then I saw the terminal next to the dead raider leader and it tells the whole story.

It's not a symbol, IIRC; he believed that this was the actual head of the beast... Considering that he was brutally killing his own men for failing to find and slay said beast, one of his men probably brought that to him to convince him that they'd actually done the job so that he would stop murdering them.

I have a strong feeling that this whole situation with the "beast" could also be a nod to the Hotline Miami franchise. Even if it is the leader, it still matches up pretty well. Someone in the night killing off these raiders one by one, displaying whats left of them. some mass killer wearing an animal mask and lurking in the shadows, unseen by all that they wish to kill. sounds like Jacket to me.

All you have to do is pair up the mascot head with the DB Tech Letterman jacket, and you have an almost perfect reference to Jacket from Hotline Miami!
