Reset weapon names?

I was tired of my weapon name so I wanted to reset it to its original,generated name. But when I try to remove all words then press Enter,it just sets back to its custom name. Any help?

Once you have changed its name, there is no going back that I know of.

But most guns are named according to the mods you have put on it, so you may name it that way. Why worry about it though? Just rename it to something else.

Yeah just change it to one of the generic ones, its not hard, powerful/hardened ect

I mean, I can keep it the way it is,but I really couldnt think up with that limited letter counts so might as well put it back to normal.

The character limit on custom weapon names is really annoying.

However it is a nice feature even with that restriction. I used it to put all my gear in the same spot on the alphabetic list so I can more easily distinguish it from the vendor trash I want to sell or scrap.

I name my stuff all sorts of weird crap. Like...Laser up the Butt, Shot Me Shotgun, Deathstroker.

Etc.

I always put an "!" in the front of the name so my good items are at the top of the list.

I'd like to reset my weapon/armor names to default as well. Adding a " ! " or " - " prefix was useful for sorting purposes, but I like having mod names automatically added. Especially since the character limitation doesn't let u manually add the mod names.
I hope a future update adds ability to restore default or at least increases character limit.
