Its called 'art deco' - bio shock would be the best game to make this architecture more pronounced
ffs heaps of mods if you dont like the vanilla look of the game, not that its worth your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥' time op.
FYI game looks lush on my PC, but who cares jog on.....
The wasteland is gritty and unforgiving. Bright colors only add to it seeming friendly and vibrant, which it isn't. Rolling clouds of radiation drive whole settlements indoors to escape radiation sickness, raiders kill and plunder even established colonies of setttlers, and hostile mutant wildlife lurks in the shadows.
That said, the way color is used in Fallout 4 is something I think should be celebrated. Bright colors are strategicly placed on doorways and awnings to highlight building entrances or on containers to highlight lootable areas. Harvestable plants pop out of the landscape with small patches of fruit or flowers to be picked.
Due to all of this, I prefer to play without mods such as "Touch of Green" as I feel it makes the game feel too much like a vibrant Skyrim-esque landscape instead of the wasteland that it is. However, there's still those options available to people who want to play with prettier colors.
al they did was boost saturation because they don't want to make effort anymore searching for the good atmosphere. people want some enb, they got some enb.that's how a factory works.
Same. Day one you could partially de-uglify the game, but are a few filter options in vanilla FO4 too much to ask of Bethesda? Gopher's Dynavision mod for New Vegas let you change color filters on the fly, and that was years ago.
This game needs film grain to cover up the low res textures, anyway.
